Movement, Music, Culture, Joy

An occasional newsletter from a curious-minded dancer, percussionist, teacher, learner, and writer.

What to expect if you subscribe:

  • Class, workshop, and social dance / skill share updates
  • New writings
  • Upcoming events
  • Videos and images and words that contextualize our work
  • Articles and blogs and art of interest

All of it will have a focus on “Mediterranean” dances, related dances and movements, music, percussion, ancestral and ecological inspiration, the intersection of politics and art, and finding artistic encouragement, hope, challenges, and insights in all sorts of places.

Emails are sent at least seasonally, and never more than monthly. You can check out the archives to see what it's all about.

You might also be interested in subscribing to my blog, which I update more frequently.

Thank you / Grazie / شكراً

Monica

I live and work on unceded Ohlone Ramaytush land. Respect to elders, ancestors, and traditional caretakers of this land—past, present, emerging, and future. I also acknowledge the people of the lands of my youth, the Matinecock and the Tongva.

Gratitude to the caretakers in my familial lines who stayed on the Southern European, Eastern European, and North African lands that my grandparents left. You created and continue to grow the traditions I do my best to honor and keep relevant from afar. Thank you for your ongoing inspiration and grace.
